The Mixtikl Settings menu (Figure 2) provides you with a number of ways to customise Mixtikl. It is accessed from the Settings button in the Main Menu.

AirPlay: Enabled/Disabled [iDevice only]

Note: When this option is enabled, you are not able to make Microphone recordings in Mixtikl (Figure 2a).

Note: If AirPlay for Mixtikl is disabled (below), you will NOT see an AirPlay option (Figure 3) for Mixtikl on your iDevice.

AirPlay : Disabled (default)

• Mixtikl audio plays through the iDevice speaker or headphone socket, as normal, and you are able to make Microphone recordings in Mixtikl.

AirPlay : Enabled

• iOS4.2 or higher required: Should you have one set up, you can direct Mixtikl's audio output to an AirPlay enabled Apple TV, an AirPort Express or paired Bluetooth device so that you can listen to Mixtikl through e.g. a Home Cinema, Audio system, Car stereo etc.
• To select your preferred audio output:
  • When Mixtikl is playing, double tap the home button.
  • Swipe the bottom toolbar all the way to the left (by swiping right) (Figure 3).
  • Select the little arrow on the right to get a pop up choice of outputs (Figure 4).
  • Select e.g. Apple TV / AirPort Express / Bluetooth device and you will see the little right arrow glow blue (Figure 3).

Audio Output...

The System Audio Output options (Figure 5) are:

• Presents a list of all the audio output options that are detected to be system-available (e.g. 22050 kHz Stereo, the default setting for iDevice).
• Select the option you prefer.
• If your mix stutters during playback, it means your device is having problems playing your mix: you should either try removing content from your mix, or try lowering the audio output quality. Even if you lower the output quality, you can still make a high quality mix recording with the Mixdown capability.
• We strongly recommending changing this setting with an empty mix as it can take some time to change the Audio Output if there are several audio loops in your mix, as each of these needs to be resampled.

Display...

The Display Options (Figure 6) are:

1. Content Full Names: value
   • Show: In the Content List this will displays the file name and file extension
   • Hide: In the Content List this hides the file extensions
2. Content Auto Preview: value
   • Yes: In the Content List, will automatically scroll through the content list, playing each item for 1 second before moving on to the next
   • No: Does not auto-preview the content (but you can tap to the Left or Right of the list item to manually preview it, or use the Left/Right or 4/6 keys).
