PC & Mobile: A Great Combination

The "PC" (be it Mac/Win/Linux) is the workhorse for making music today. And, whether it's Sonar, Logic, Cubase, ProTools, Reaper etc. or new tools like Live, right at the heart of the creative studio is a VST or AU plugin-enabled music Sequencer.

But now, mobile adds another dimension to this - either as a 'studio extension', or in its own right.

The Desktop Sequencer

The 'full-on' desktop music sequencer ('Sequencer') is a highly complex beast. There are many companies that make them and they are all duking it out in the market. As we are but a small software company we could not compete with them even if we wanted to (we don't!). Instead, we decided to join them: by building a mobile app that could run in their products. It is no easy challenge, make no mistake. But, over the last 10 years we've continuously developed a number of essential mobile music technologies that let us do just that.

Social Media Revolution

More people now create & share content than anyone ever expected. There are now lots of sites which feature user generated 'social media'. It all started with people creating content with cameras and PCs, but many user-submitted videos & pictures are now created on mobile phones because it is now so easy and convenient.

More people than ever before create music on PCs, but not yet on mobile phones. We expect that people will want to create on both and to share with both, especially as there are many more phones in the world now than PCs.

There are rafts of portable music players available which let you take your music with you, anywhere. As the number of people creating, rather than simply consuming, music increases, so does the need for a software product that lets you make your music with you, anywhere.
