Performer

Performer is a powerhouse. It is all about live mobile performance, ultimate control, and fun!
There are many ways to use it (it is like a Tardis!), and to navigate it.
At the top is a display area and a toolbar ("Top Toolbar" shown above in red, as are all toolbar items). The Top Toolbar gives button shortcuts to a number of key actions, such as menu, solo/mute, play/stop, recording, global FX etc. The shortcut to the main menu is the left-most toolbar button.
The central "content area" displays 12 tracks which contain 4 content cells (blackish when empty, orange when loaded). When the mix is playing, any content cell that is playing displays the green play indicator, and the white triangular mote indicates which bar of the content is playing (e.g. bar 4 of a 4 bar loop). Each of this tracks is split into a number of cells (columns).
At the bottom is the global volume control slider.

Content Area (3rd-6th cells)

This area contains the content cells, which is where you add in your content.
When a cell has content in it, it is coloured (skip and silent cells have their own identifiers).
The white triangle at the top is the "mote"l; this moves every bar that is played, up to 4 bars, before starting again. This allows you to see where you are in multibar content.
The green bar is the play indicator; this shows you which cell in the track is playing.
To add content to a cell, select it and select the content you want from the Content List.
-
Track Rules (7th cell)

Selecting the Track Rules cell displays the Track Rules List (left).
A Rule value of Randomise or Shuffle will mean that when the Rules Action button in the Top Toolbar is selected, the content cells in that track will be randomised or shuffled respectively (with content from the underlying Pak).
A Spot value of "Performer" means that any content cell in that track will ONLY play once (like a sting), either when the section lock is first applied to a section, or if the cell is triggered (i.e. with key 3).
A Spot value of "Remixer" means that for a track so identified, then the content in section 1 will play as a "one-shot" sting in Remixer (i.e. it will not loop continuously as would normally be the case).
-
Track FX (8th cell)

Selecting this cell will launch the FX list where you can select the FX you wish to apply to this track (use FX sparingly on mobile!).
