How to Use Paks

Using Paks is easy! You will need to put them in the right place, though.

Although you can put the Pak (and Tiklpak) zip files in any folder under those listed below, e.g. a zip folder called intermorphic/mixtikl/zips/, we recommend you keep Paks and Tiklpaks separate (although there is no really need to do so).

Paks

  1. Download the Pak to your computer and place in the following folder:
    • Windows:
      My Documents\intermorphic\mixtikl\paks
    • Macs:
      Documents/intermorphic/mixtikl/paks
  2. For the Paks you want to put on your device, copy (or move) them from there to the following folder on your device:
    • Windows Mobile (Pocket PC/Smartphone), either:
      My Documents\intermorphic\mixtikl\paks
      or
      <Storage card name>\intermorphic\mixtikl\paks
  3. In Mixtikl, select Menu > Open from your app and you will see the list of available Paks and Tiklpaks
    • If there are Paks that you had expected to display there, but which do not, it is because they have been created as "Separates" Paks: these are only visible from the Content List.

Tiklpaks

  1. Purchase the Tiklpak licence and download the Tiklpak installer to your computer.
  2. Run the installer, which will install the Tiklpaks to:
    • Windows:
      \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\intermorphic\mixtikl\tiklpaks
    • Macs:
      /Library/Application Support/intermorphic/mixtikl/tiklpaks
  3. For the Tiklpaks you want to put on your device, copy (or move) them from there to the following folder on your device:
    • Windows Mobile (Pocket PC/Smartphone), either:
      My Documents\intermorphic\mixtikl\tiklpaks
      or
      <Storage card name>\intermorphic\mixtikl\tiklpaks
  4. In Mixtikl, select Menu > Open from your app and you will see the list of available Paks and Tiklpaks
    • If there are Tiklpaks that you had expected to display there, but which do not, it is because they have been created as "Separates" Paks: these are only visible from the Content List.
