Noatikl templates

We have now released the first two add-on template packs for Noatikl - Generative Drums 1 and Generative Drums 2, created by the legendary Timothy Didymus. These are a great way to get started with a new piece or "ideas" session.

Once installed, simply:

  • Select File > New and then choose the template you want from your list of installed templates, or;
  • Add elements of a template to another piece by creating a new piece based on that template (File > New > Template), then selecting a voice (e.g. TEST) then selecting Edit > Copy Voice TEST. Then select your piece and select Edit > Paste Voice. You have now pasted the template voice into your piece!

Do check out some recordings (left) made by Timothy Didymus of the templates.

The recordings also include pad overlays (please note that the template packs include only Noatikl files, and do not include drum sounds). You can also download the recordings from the links below.

noatikl Noatikl is a powerful music engine to help you come up with new ideas.
Noatikl is pronounced “noh - tickle”. It is all about coming up with new melodies and phrases for your songs and music!
Noatikl draws on the zen koan tradition, as it arrives at good ideas in a way that is not obvious.
Noatikl also relates to the word “noa”, meaning movement.
